Ice Apple-Gulkand Matka Kulfi with Jaggery | Nungu-Gulkand Malai Kulfi recipe | Nungu Matka Kulfi

Jump to Recipe How to make Ice Apple Gulkand Matka Kulfi with Jaggery | Nungu Gulkand Malai Kulfi recipe | Nungu Matka Kulfi with detailed snaps and step-by-step procedure. What else could be the best body coolant in this scorching summer more than the Ice apples and Gulkand (Rose Petal Jam)? Think of those natural jellies and the body-cooling homemade Gulkand getting indulged into a Malai Kulfi. Wow! It's amazing, right?! The taste would undoubtedly stand out of the world. I don't recommend buying Gulkand from stores as most of the brands are preserving rose petals in sugar. If buying from the shop, please make sure the petals are soaked up in honey. The best option is to make the homemade Gulkand for which the recipe is available in two versions in Packthesnack. Please refer to my Homemade Gulkand post.  Also, we make our khoya to make the Malai which is instant and easy. For making homemade khoya, we use unsweetened milk powder. Having said that, the coconut milk...

Sathumaavu / Multigrain Pancake

Sathumaavu / Multigrain Pancake is a healthy version of pancake which would give a 'win-win' result for both the mom and kids. Mom would be satisfied with preparing such a healthy pancake and kids, on the other hand, would enjoy their yummy fluffy pancakes. So, a perfect health+taste combo recipe is what we gonna see through this post.

Sathumaavu flour is a powerpack of nutrients which combines the goodness of grains, legumes, and nuts. The list starts with grains like samba wheat, finger millet, pearl millet, red rice and continues to the legumes like black gram, green gram and ends with nuts and flavoring agents like dry ginger/ cardamom. Wait to see Sathumaavu/ Health Mix recipe which I'll be posting soon.

I just play around with Sathumaavu flour to make uncountable recipes and the one among those is Sathumaavu Pancake. Tips:
  • Gently flip the pancakes as they may tend to break while flipping.
  • If the brown sugar is coarsely granulated, grind it to a fine powder before you add, as it helps in even distribution of sweetness.

  3. The Sathumaavu flour you shared here is amazing and I never heard before. Nowadays people are aware of the good and bad ingredients like everyone prefers jaggery over white sugar and healthy fats instead of refined oils. So, the good thing is that the flour and obviously recipes made from it is a powerpack of nutrients that combines the goodness of grains, legumes, and nuts. Spices like dry ginger and cardamom also provide many health benefits. I prefer to eat as healthy as possible but sometimes I go for some elegant desserts like red velvet cake and Martabak. Martabak I always prefer from Smile Martabak Singapore. Thanks for sharing such a wonderful post here.
